EFL Young Ambassadors Application 25-26

 

Endless Frontier Labs invites high school students interested in the intersections of entrepreneurship, technology, and/or science-based innovation to apply for our 2025-2026 Young Ambassadors cohort! During the EFL Young Ambassadors experience, students will have the opportunity to shadow world-renowned scientists, CEOs, and business leaders and observe their meetings with startup founders in the Endless Frontier Labs startup program. 

Students will be admitted on a rolling basis. Applicants who would like to be considered for earlier meeting days (Fall 2025) should apply ASAP. If admitted, students will attend at least one (1) EFL Meeting Day. The EFL program will be operating in a hybrid model this year. In-person and virtual meeting days are indicated below. Young Playwrights Summer Program Applications for summer 2026 will open in May 2026.  The TDF Young Playwrights Summer Program is a free two-week playwriting intensive led by award-winning dramatist Crystal Skillman that is open to high school students in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Students explore personal expression in writing, and the art and form of dramatic writing. Students will work individually and in teams, with a final presentation on the last day. This year's edition focuses on dramatic works with theatrical magic and play productions with music. By the numbers: 20 students, two weeks of master classes Who is eligible? Rising high school freshman, sophomores, juniors and seniors as well as spring 2026 graduates who are interested in learning the craft of playwriting and creating their own works. Please note that the program may also explore other forms of dramatic writing such as audio drama and screenwriting. Students must have well-developed writing skills and an interest in playwriting along with a recommendation from a teaching artist or English teacher. Team spirit, commitment and enthusiasm are important qualities for this program. What does the Young Playwrights Summer Program include? Playwriting workshops five days a week for two weeks with group writing; individual writing will be done independently One or two evening outings to Broadway shows. Small group seminars with professional theatre artists talking about their creative process Writing (and rewriting) a short original play Professional actors reading student plays in progress Staged readings of final works by professional actors When is the Young Playwrights Summer Program? Two weeks in summer 2026, dates and times to be determined.  Where is the Young Playwrights Summer Program? In-person sessions will take place at TDF's Midtown Manhattan offices at 520 Eighth Avenue between 36th and 37th Streets, Suite 801. The building requires visitors to sign in and present ID. Be sure to arrive at least 10 minutes before each class starts.

Springboard to Design (SB2D) gives students the chance to dive into the world of theatre design and discover new artistic possibilities, no experience required! With housing available and tuition fully covered, this program is built to remove barriers for the next generation of theatre designers, expanding their sense of community, collaboration, and imagination.

​SB2D is for underrepresented high school students, including students who have limited or no access to theatre. Applicants with an interest in sewing, fashion, drawing, painting, building, creating, and storytelling are highly encouraged to apply.

The program includes workshops and mentorship from award-winning artists. Students will explore costume, set, lighting, sound, hair, makeup, and projection design in the heart of New York City. The SB2D program is FREE to all students.

In 2026, the program will take place July 19th-25th

The applications for the 2026 program are open from September 15th 2025 to January 15th 2026.

The Town Hall - Civic Leadership Day

Hosted at Fordham University’s Lincoln Center campus, this daylong event invites high school students to strengthen their leadership skills and discover how they can actively participate in civic life. 

The goal of Civic Leadership Day is to equip students with the skills, confidence, and network needed to become leaders in their communities. After the event, students will spend four weeks identifying an issue in their community and crafting a solution. They will work with mentors who provide virtual guidance and support through the process. Students return to Fordham University to present their solutions and share their ideas with local council members, community leaders, and activists.
