Brooklyn Navy Yard Internship Programs

BNYDC’s Internship Programs connect college-attending students and college-bound high school seniors to a wide range of paid internship opportunities with businesses within the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Over the course of 8-week sessions in the spring, summer, and fall, students will be connected to Yard-based businesses and departments according to their future career interests, skill sets, and educational background.

High Line Fellows: Emerging Leaders Program

The High Line Fellows: Emerging Leaders Program is a three-year, paid youth development program for those entering their sophomore year of high school through senior year. Fellows gain leadership skills, explore careers, and prepare for college and beyond—with a starting pay of $18/hour. This opportunity is more than just their best first job experience: Fellows get a one-of-a-kind hands-on learning opportunity that draws from the High Line’s core strengths, building their confidence as leaders while connecting with peers and professionals across New York City.

2026 Winter/Spring High School Internship

  

The Brooklyn District Attorney’s 2026 Winter & Spring High School Internship offers an overview of one of the largest DA’s offices in the country. Selected students will participate in workshops, tours, and presentations regarding law enforcement. Interactive participation will be required.  The program is open to students who live and/or attend school in Brooklyn.  Applicants will be selected for Winter OR Spring and must be able to commit to the entire duration of the internship.  Winter internship will run from February 17th through February 20th   (Tuesday through Friday), from 10:00am-3pm.  Spring internship will run from April 6th through April 10th (Monday through Friday).  Students will receive a $150 stipend.

1.  Most recent high school transcript

2.  Updated resume

3.  A 300 word "Statement of Interest" which must be typed (12 pt. font and double-spaced) and addresses the following: “Why do you want an internship with the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office?  What impact do you think an internship at the District Attorney’s Office will have on        your future career goals and aspirations?”

4.  Working papers if selected
